Covid-19 Update

Porthkerris will be open for SHORE DIVING, FISHING, PARKING and BEACH USE ONLY from Friday 22nd May
Opening times 8am to 5pm. Price £3 PER CAR plus £2pp for fishing and £5pp for shore diving. STRICTLY NO OVERNIGHT STAYS. Cash only.
Please place the correct amount of money in an envelope and clearly write your registration details and number of people fishing on it. Please post the envelope in the window of the red Peugeot car next to the shop/office on the beach. Ideally please do this in advance, however envelopes will be provided on the car on site. Please be honest. We will frequently check payments and number of people. Anyone found being dishonest will be evicted and will be banned from returning to Porthkerris in the future.
Please read all the rules and regulations written on the car you pay at on the beach.
The shop, office, toilets, showers, and cafe will remain closed for the time being. Please take ALL rubbish home with you and refrain from using public seating.
Shore diving will now be allowed as we are following the advice from dive organisations (BDSG, PADI, BSAC, SSI etc) who regularity review the situation. Swimming, snorkelling and kayak launching is allowed but be aware that Porthkerris is not a lifeguarded beach. We will also be able to offer a pre booked Launch and Recovery service.
Everyone must follow social distancing rules and safety guidance from Government and Public Health of England. Keep your distance (minimum of 10m between non family members) Do not share any fishing tackle or other items with anyone other than people within your own household. When parking please leave at least 5m in between cars. No groups of more than 4 people (including children).
If you have a new, persistent cough, temperature, or any other reason to suspect you may have coronavirus, please do not visit Porthkerris.
Please be responsible with your behaviour.
Bring disposable gloves and anti-bacterial hand sanitiser to use when handling gates, locks and other surfaces that anglers come into contact with
Dogs must be kept on leads and Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Porthkerris is a small family run business and safeguarding our visitors and team of employees is our priority. Anyone breaching those rules will be asked to leave. If at any point we have concerns that visitor numbers or public behaviour are restricting our ability to do this, we reserve the right to close particular facilities without prior notice. We may also have to turn people away if we exceed safe numbers.
