BSAC Ocean Diver: Price £400

For those aged 12 or above and with reasonable fitness and good health, this course provides the essential knowledge and skills needed to prepare for open water diving. Over a period of 4 days, a mix of theory lessons and sheltered water sessions safely prepare the student for five open water dives which ends with the award of BSAC Ocean Diver.

Maximum depth – 20m.

Course includes:

• Ocean Diver Manual

• The Diving Manual

• Pre-paid Q-Card application (certification)

• 7 classroom sessions

• 5 sheltered water lessons

• 4 open water lessons

• Exam


BSAC Sports Diver: Price £400

Sports Diver is a 4 day course which further develops the skills, knowledge and experience of the Ocean Diver. Using a combination of theory, practice and open water sessions, the student is trained in risk assessment, rescue techniques, the use of additional equipment such as compass and Surface Marker Buoy (SMB), dive planning and an introduction to dive leading.

Maximum depth – 35m.

Course includes:

• Sport Diver Manual

• Pre-paid Q-Card application (certification)

• 6 classroom lessons

• 1 dry practical lessons

• 5 open water lessons

• Exam


BSAC Dive Leader: Price £450

Dive Leader training will take between 2 and 4 weeks. Dive Leader training covers the responsibilities and skills required for safely leading other divers. Theory sessions cover such elements as O2 administration, dive planning and rescue management. Practical lessons and scenarios will give students confidence to become a role model for other divers and the knowledge to deal with emergencies.

Maximum depth – 50m.

Attendance on the following Skill Development Courses will cover some of the Dive Leader Training:  

• Oxygen Administration,

• Practical Rescue Management

• Dive Planning and Management
